Last Thursday night I had a great night out in the wonderful village of La Cala de Mijas At the heart of the Costa del Sol on Mijas Costa, only a short distance from Marbella and Fuengirola, you will love the charm of this old fishing pueblo. Unspoiled by mass tourism with golden sandy beaches and every sporting activity you can bring to mind, we started off with a great Indian meal at the newly opened Sai Indian, they are on Calle Torromolinos, an Indian treat not to be missed, where they have live Indian music take a look at their website www.saiindianrestaurant.es , the we went on for after drinks to a great wine bar where they have the finest wines from all around the world but once we saw their Gin bar we decided to have a Gin and Tonic at Pura Cepa www.vinotecapuracepa.com from their specially prepared Gin bar where they filled the goblet with ice, then quick froze the glass and ice, poured in the gin then down a special mixer spoon gently poured the tonic, placed in a slice of lemon the topped the lemon with an infusion of your choice, Wow what a gin and tonic. Also coming soon a new restaurant hosted by TOWIES Elliot Wright, which we will keep you up to date on once opened. I highly recommend a visit to the Village of La Cala for a great night out.
