When I first moved to the Costa de Sol just over 10 yrs ago, one of my first restaurants visited was the famous Lobster restaurant La Langosta in Fuengirola which was opened in 1960 and run by a very elegant German couple Inga and Helmut. I had old friend of many years over from Bali Ross Smith and celebrity hairdresser Andrew Barton this week and I was at a loss of where to eat for dinner so I thought I would go back to taste what was the one of the most wonderful Lobsters ever. Sadly both owners have passed away but the restaurant is now run by the son Christian who was and still is the chef. The place was like a time warp still charming with lots of silver, crystal glasses and photos of all the older famous people who have visited over the years. I could not believe that the same water was there Joni, he has worked there for an unbelievable 34 years, still as charming and professional, working alongside was the charming handsome Luis. We choose the fabulous set chefs recommendation which was a 5 course dinner 1. Duck Liver terrine 2. Mussels in saffron cream 3. Lobster carndinale 4. Chateaubriand du chef 5. Warm raspberries with pistachio ice cream Mmmmmmmmm !!!!!! Every course absolute delightful. I have now made it a regular haunt again and had a friends birthday party there too.
